If you could put all of the benefits of exercise into a pill, it would be a blockbuster—it would outsell any other pill on the market. There would be nothing like it!
Without dispute, exercise has positive benefits to every body system. It’s good for your bones, muscles, heart, circulation, brain, baseline metabolism, and the list goes on! It even helps us sleep and digest food better. Research proves these amazing results.
Massage therapy is something else that’s indisputably good for us. The value and benefits continue to be demonstrated in health literature time and time again.
Its benefits include increased relaxation response, decreased heart rate and blood pressure, improved sleep, and decreased pain and tension (just to name a few). Because of the value that it has in addressing the general health and well-being of patients who are dealing with major illnesses, it’s been integrated into a number of medical settings. You’ll see massage therapy anywhere from sports medicine all the way to cancer treatment centers.
Obviously, this means that both exercise and massage therapy are very important to us at our practice. Which is why we’d like to introduce you to Sheri Hoitt, a massage therapist and fitness trainer at Enhance.
Sheri is a veteran—she’s been a licensed massage therapist for over 23 years. And during that time, she’s earned a reputation for excellence by providing outstanding service to the South Shore communities. But, she decided she didn’t want to stop at massage therapy—in 2005, she added personal training to her certification.
There’s something very unique about her featured skills—there’s an overlap between the two disciplines, so when you get the application of personal training in a massage therapy session, or the application of massage therapy in a training session, you gain a noticeably different experience and advantage. And, just when you thought there couldn’t be more, in 2007, Sheri received certification to assist us as a coach in our nutrition and wellness programs.
There’s a lot of personal training and massage therapy options out there to choose from. But, keep in mind, each experience will be different. When in search of the right personal trainer or massage therapist, it really comes down to the quality of that person and how they’ve developed and honed their skills. And Sheri has two defining characteristics. One of those is her unique education in massage therapy and personal training, and her delivery of outstanding service in both areas. And the second is the way she approaches every encounter with her clients—she has a huge heart, and it shows in everything she does! She always provides service to the best of her abilities. We always and only hear positive feedback about her five-star service and treatment at every encounter.
We’re so thankful to have her at our practice! She loves on people and makes a firm and solid commitment to their success—which is why we exist.
Sheri is available for both individual and small group fitness training and massage therapy. You can reach her at shoitt@enhancewellnessma.com.
